"Tokyo [is the best place to shop.] The style is so crazy and out there," she revealed in an interview with WWD.

Avril likes to incorporate her own influences into her Abbey Dawn range. The label's second shoe collection will launch this fall, with animal prints being a major design staple. The 27-year-old beauty has explained the reason why she delved into footwear design.

"My personal style is very Abbey Dawn. It's rock 'n' roll, but still cute," she explained.

"That's why I wanted to start my own line. I could never find [footwear] that was a combination."

Despite being a fully-fledged fashionista these days, Avril hasn't lost her punky roots. The singer prefers to dress down on her days off.

"A hooded sweatshirt," she replied, when asked what she never leaves home without.

Avril has recently branched out in the fashion and beauty world and has signed a deal to create a limited edition collection for Sally Hansen. It includes 12 designs of nail polish strips which are inspired by Avril's signature quirky style. The star is thrilled to work with the beauty giant.

"This is pretty much the coolest thing, because I also do clothing - I love clothing, nails and fragrance, hair, make-up, all that stuff," she previously explained.
